I am not a 'bling' person. I love dressing up all ethnic and traditional sometimes for weddings and festivals but I keep the bling away from my outfits. I love gold and metallic accents in matte kinda finish but shiny things don't make classy for me.
It's still hot and humid in Bangalore so this Diwali I plan to stick to my basics, lots of bright colors and light fabric. It keeps me both comfortable and looking good. Lately I have learnt that bright hues not only cheer me up but also compliments my skin tone.
Here's my entry, I am wearing a red sleeveless Mirage kurta, with green silk bottoms, a yellow dupatta with beautiful broad embroidary work and brocade borders, metallic peach & rose gold wedges with studs and kundan earrings. I wanted the dupatta to take the center stage so I have everything else minimal. I love how the red of my kurta beautifully compliments the texture and colors on the dupatta.
Have a happy and safe Diwali!
