10 NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS THAT CAN MAKE YOUR LIFE BETTER

source
This is the last blog post of this year. 2014 has been a great year. I am sure we all have gained and lost some things, carry memories good & bad and look forward to a new beginning. No matter how good the previous year has been we always expect the coming year to be better. We strive to take the driver seat, grab the seat belt, take right directions and drive our way to success. How about we take the first step by making realistic resolutions? The ones we actually stick to and promise ourselves to never break them. By doing this we can make the year 2015 special and have a lot of self improvement to look forward to. Here is some 'no-nonsense' advice from us on picking right resolutions that are actually going to help you make your life better!

There's nothing more precious and coveted than a healthy body. This new year, promise yourself to eat healthy and nutrient food. This starts in the kitchen. Get rid of all processed, ready-to-eat items, carbonated drinks and fried snacks from your fridge and kitchen cabins. Make it a habit to shop for green vegetables, fruits and foods rich in protein often. Your body has taken enough already, now is the time to give back. Cleanse, detox and keep your liver healthy, body fit and skin glowing. "You are what you eat"

Use technology for your benefit only. Over use of mobiles, computers, laptops and tablets not only eat up most of our time leaving us with very little time to spare with family and friends, they also expose us to harmful radiations which affect our brain cells, strain eyes and cause infertility. This new year, take time away from machines and spend valuable time on yourself and with those you love. "It's a blissful life" - tried & tested.

Workout! There is no shortcut to fit body. Our body is the only thing we can sculpt, let's sculpt it beautifully. If you are already a pro, set goals for a fitter body. Post photos of your inspiration right where you can see them. Break the monotony by making working out fun. Learn Zumba or Pilates or any new dance form that you will enjoy. "The important thing is to keep consistency"

If you are a beginner, don't give up. Rethink exercise. You don't need to go to gym or lift weights. Just MOVE your body MORE by cleaning your house, taking stairs, walking to the grocery store, talk while you are on a long call, take a walk in the park with your partner instead of sitting at the coffee shop etc. "It's basically just MOVE MORE"

Embrace yourself in a whole new way. Accept that there is only one you and it is a crime to compare yourself with anybody else. Don't like something about yourself? work towards improving it rather than hating yourself. This new year, get rid of all the negativity in your life and strive to be happier. Love yourself more! Get help from wherever you can but "Rise above little things"

Rekindle old relationships. In our busy day to day life, we often don't answer phone calls from friends, forget to call or text them back or don't turn up on events. This new year let's transform ourselves a little. Before making new friends and getting into new relationships, look back and see if we can catch (patch) up with old buddies. "Don't make promises you can't keep"

Develop a serious hobby. Something that you love doing or something you always wanted to do and make that as a second job/source of income. If you have been holding on to that idea for long, now is the time to transform that thought into reality. It could be painting, writing, teaching anything. This blog was one such outcome and we say it's totally worth the time and investment. It will keep you excited and willing to be creative. More than anything, you won't have a boss! "Make your hobby a job"

Get a new hair cut or color your hair or get a makeover. Do something that you have always wanted but were afraid to try. Changing looks does more to your personality than you think. It will also boost your confidence. Take someone you trust along when you are hitting the salon, just in case of doubt! "Change looks"

Take a closer look at your skin. We all got one year old and are getting close to aging. We cannot stop but can always delay aging. It is important to take care of skin inside out, to keep skin hydrated and full of life. Let's promise to drink plenty of water, eat more antioxidants, vitamins and sweat out so our skin can breathe fresh. "Brighten up skin from within"

Save more and shop little. This is on our list too! and we know how hard it is to resist buying new things that's why we are here to suggest you a new approach. There might be lot of things in your homes and closets that are barely used or haven't been used at all. Sell them! It is better to make even little money out of those than have them pile up in the cabins, right? You can save that money and buy things that you actually need. Trust us, you will shop guilt free. "Get rid things you don't use before you shop for new"

Last but not the least, you are what you speak. Words are far more powerful than what we are. It is how we portray ourselves to the world. What we say affects us more than those we speak about. This new year, make it a point not to talk negatively about other people and yourself. Don't like someone? stay away from them. They are not worth talking about. "Don't speak evil"
